phoneLog.txt

I was planning to restore the factory settings (7940). Then I did it like this:

I looked in the configuration where the file is and where the TFTP server is.

show current configuration | sec 7940
TFTP Flash Server:/phone/P00308010200.bin alias P00308010200.bin
TFTP Flash Server:/phone/7940/P00308010200.sb2 alias P00308010200.sb2
TFTP Flash Server: /phone /7940/ P00308010200.sbn alias P00308010200.sbn
tftp-server flash:/phone/7940/P00308010200.Aliasloads P00308010200
load 7960-7940 P00308010200

This turned out to be the IP address of our DHCP device, and option 150 would be enabled (as always), pointing to the Cisco router.

I tried restarting one of our 7941 phones and found it saying “Authentication Failed”, but it kept going and worked for a while… I think this might be related to the problem.

I have two 7942 phones, the amazing 3750 and 2811. Can anyone tell me personally if you see anything wrong with the configuration of all 2811s? I depend on this every day. Phones get an IP address. I can ping phones even if they are not registered.

I used https://hypercounty.com/en/tftp-server-auth-error-file-xmldefault-cnf-xml/ debug events and got no traffic. I’ve probably done all sorts of things, brain dead. Do not forgetthat I melted from all this learning!
